About the Artist

Zippy Saint Thomas is a Libyan-born Filipino artist currently based in Iloilo, and a current katalyst from Kikik Kollektive and a Fine Arts graduate.

His works explore themes of identity, body, and spirituality; intertwining one over the other. The works mingle the essences whimsy from the nature, mysticism, and the occult; sensuality and sexuality of gentle blank gazes the effeminate masculine and gentle feminine with soft, curved – yet halfhearted poses; and mystery that lies behind the Zippy palette of pastelled violets, pinks, blues, and solid gold.

His works are mostly done in either painting, or in assemblage and installation with the explorative and experimental drive of using different materials to create interest without losing the connection to the meaning of the artwork itself.

He was a member of Himbon from 2022-2023. He was also the Fine Arts Major Organization president from 2023-2024 Later, had joined GIAGI Artist Collective in 2024, and Kikik Kollektive in 2025.
